brake servo

Does the position of the brake servo being low and right behind the front wheel have any problems with dust ingress, water being thrown up from the wheel, or mud and road slime. also how often should the filter be cleaned,[this is like asking how long is a piece of string] should it be let go or is it advisable say every 20,000 miles? Thanks saltiga

I don't drive my BJ8 in terribly harsh conditions--if I can help it--but in 120K+ miles I haven't had any problems with crud getting on the servo. The filter is covered by a plastic shield and shouldn't have to deal with anything besides dust. I've never cleaned or changed mine; not sure how or if you even can clean them. Think I'll just put a new one in one of these days.
