TR6 Brake servo and rear tire rubbing

Hello All,

My '73 has developed a small leak at the base of the master cylinder where its bolted to the servo. How is that repaired?
Also, I noticed when I was bleeding brakes my right rear tire has been rubbing the wheel well and that doesn't surprise me because on a couple of occasions I thought the tire seemed crooked or leaning in. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Bill

The Leak.
You'll have to rebuild your master cylinder or get a new one...do that while you still have the ability to stop the car.
As far as the rear tire:
It could be a simple as correcting the camber or you may have a problem with the bushings in the trailing arm. It could even be as bad as a trailing arm outrigger rusted thru and about to break loose.
You'll just have to investigate...but don't drive until you get that diagnosed..

While the MC is off, check to see if fluid has been running down inside the booster. If so, you should at least try to remove it from the booster; or consider having it rebuilt/replaced at the same time. Conventional brake fluid is really hard on the booster components, so it's not uncommon for the booster to fail shortly after a MC leak.

Thanks Guys.
I was thinking about ordering a repair kit for the MC from British Victoria.
Do you think that will do?
Bill
