Dash out of an old Land Rover?

I'm with Tony. Looks very 'Jeepish' and since Land Rovers are more plentiful down under...except for WWII leftovers from us Yanks.

A 1965:

But it just doesn't seem quite right, unless it is a Series I (which I have found no pics of)

Not a Toyota Land Cruiser as their dash is curved at top.
And not, I think, a Jeep as they may have had full width dash.

Well, I found this photo:

Nice Dash, Tony.

That is a track suit isn't it?

Dave :savewave:

TOny...Tony...get your mind outta da dash man!!!!

BTW: Back to the thread...OZ I am very interested in finding out what the dash panel is from....I agree with Tony it is out of a ROver/Jeep "type" vehicle but have looked at more British dash panels than I care to admit and found none with that layout...let alone square auxiliary gauges....who are the gauges made by?

Well, the MPH eliminates German stuff as well as Japanese....wonder if it could be Aussie?

Likely. It has *too much* info to be a Jeep, fer sure.

OH!! And th' KO-reah era photo is a treasure!!!

...better days...

No, its not a Jeep - don't even think its the earlier Ford version that was turned down....gotta be some type Land Rover or one from down under.

My point, exactly: Gotta be English to my mind. We didn't get oil info!

heck, we barely got MPH indication!!

Italian! Now, what would have been built in Italy that uses MPH speedo that could've made its way to Oz?

& Doc just reminded me of another company that made trucks and jeeps for the MPH countries & had parts of them made by BL: D.A.F. Trucks

OOohhh!!! That's a real possibility!

...tho they weren't likely to measure temp or O/P in real numbers, IIRC.

aero - did they ever use square instruments?

:iagree:

Huh! Would've never guessed.
