TR2/3/3A TR2 grille pic

Can one of you fellow TR2 owners help me out? I need a nice, clean straight-on, high-resolution picture, or exact scale drawing of a TR2 grille. out of the car, so I can see the entire thing, tabs and all. My intent is to use the picture to create a full scale CAD drawing, then cut it out of some stainless or aluminum on the water-jet after work one day.
My car didn't have one with it when I got it, and any that do come up for sale are outta my price range. I'm not going for concourse, and it should look just fine. I know the originals were either cast or stamped depending on supplier, so the edges of mine won't have the same profile (Big deal!)

I assume you know that TRF sells them new (sheet metal version) for $250.

I did not know TRF was selling them. I'm still gonna make one. I can find a piece of scrap at work large enough to do it, and once the drawing is made, the machine does all the work.. a $250 dollar savings. (That's 2 of my wide whitewall tires)
Either a good high contrast pic, or drawing, or even the rubbing would work. I can generate a drawing off of a picture, and can get the proper scaling by measuring the apron on my car.
Like I said, my replica won't be exact, 100% concourse, but without a knee on the ground inspection up close, noone will be able to tell.

Oooooo Don, you're bad.....hehehehe... I found a good pic on an auction site. It's not an overly complicated piece. I'll try to make it myself. A rubbing would be a big help.

We all have to understand that this is a "Low Budget, No Budget" Build.

Hey Banjo; I`d hate to see your TR2 turn into a "Rat Rod"; What would you be asking for her in her present state?

Don't worry too much Russ. "Rat-rod" in this sense just means I'm gonna leave it in flat black epoxy primer for now, and not spend a lot on trimming the interior.all just for the sake of being able to drive it, but not spending a fortune. Other than that it is staying mostly stock. I'm not sure what I'd be asking right now. I'd be more inclined to trade for something not as rare, and not too far from being road ready....maybe..

Heh, If i had the money, I'd have bought your TR2 back when you had it for sale last year, but I'm in the middle of my TR6 project right now. A TR2 is the car that I ultimately want to own, bad (though I'd settle for an early small mouth TR3 as well)

I haven't even seen a 'major project' TR3/3A/2 in new england in a year for anything remotely reasonable.

low/no budget can be done well with time and help and not be a 'bastardization' which is what a lot of people think when they see 'rat rod'

Certainly doing any car with a concourse restoration costs a boatload.
