Greetings,
Can anyone tell me what the thread size is on the two outer screws that hold the grill brow to the shroud? I sent mine off to the chrome shop and I even threaded 3-4 nuts to each screw so they wouldn't plate the threads but I guess they misunderstood that for we better take all these nuts off and mess up the studs so he can't possibly put this back on his car. I am thiking it is 8/32 or 6/32. I can get an 8/32 die to run down the stud but it seems loose to me. Is it possible to remove these screws without bending the brow, They look like screws but they appear to be either welded or maybe just stuck with copper or chrome plating. Burns me up when they gotta make easy hard. Sorry for the rant. I will credit them with pretty fast service and the piece looks real nice. Price was $200.00. is that about normal? I know regulations are making it difficult on the plating industry.
