I was dismantling my 1500 ('76) engine and trying get the starter/ fuel pump off. In front of the fuel pump there is a hose attached to the block. It is about 6 inches long and has brass nuts at each end. The other end is hooked up to a T fitting attached to the inner fender. What is it? I can't find it in the catalogues or books. Thanks
JP

how about a picture of this.

Hello JP,
I would say that the Tee piece feeds the two carburettors, a hose to each float chamber.

Alec

But Alec, here in the Colonies we only got the single ZS version of the 1500. Drat!!!!
It sounds suspiciously like a homemade crankcase breather, but without pictures, it's only a guess.
Jeff

I finally found it in the Haynes manual, (which arrived Friday!) it's the oil pressure sensing unit. Still haven't found it in Victoria British but I'm looking. Thanks for your input.
JP
