Just found this site. I belong to several TR clubs. Owned My 76 TR 6 for a year now. Currently replacing thrust washers, yes the fwd was in the oil pan. Also working on fixing my J Type OD.
 
welcome - sounds like a lovely project - any damage with the washers?
