I have a problem with the charging circuit in my TF. I have disassembled the generator and using a multimeter to test continuity and for grounds. The field coils appear to be grounded to the generator case. I don't think this is correct. Can anyone confirm if I'm right or wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe the field coils will be grounded to the case unless you take them out of the case. One coil wire is grounded the F terminal, the other wire is isolated to only the F terminal, but the 2 coils are connected together at the other end of the wiring. So the 2 coils are not 'shorted' together at the F terminal, but are connected at the other end (ie the field current goes in at F terminal, but has to travel through both entire field coils before becoming grounded at the case on its way 'out'. I think this is correct-correct me if I'm wrong.
