Haven't seen it posted here,or maybe I missed it.
Our favorite Dentist has finally made good on his threat to sell his beautiful car.
We hope he sticks around and volunteers his sage wisdom from time to time.
Bill we all feel the pain you must have to sell your car.
Thanks for the memories.

He posted two days ago.

Just 'cause he ain't got a car don't mean he's forgotten how it works. I never actually ~owned~ a Standard vehicle but left PLENTY of my blood 'n sweat on 'em. If there's a Triumph question I can suggest an answer to, it'll get posted.

He better NOT just abandon us. I'll go up Nawlins way an' pagger th' fool! I know where 'e lives! :jester:

Gosh Don, I thought for a second it was even more serious than that! Still a loss to be sure, I hope we don't lose Bill's wit and insight.

Not sure - but I think Doc said he'd look him up if he flakes on us...

YUP! In Th' Queen's Own.

sshhh!!!! he's HERE NOW>>>

Now, anybody heard from TABCON lately? Or have I just missed seeing his post.

Hope he sticks around, he has a great sense of humor. The only thing that surprised me was the length of time it took for someone to snap up that car, especially at the price.

Did it sell? Not surprised, just was hoping he'd change his mind as I do enjoy that wit - hopefully board participation will continue. And he lent me a bunch of clecos so I know he'll hunt me down at some point!

Randy

I'm not sure if it sold yet. I've been out a bit, but would like to hear from Bill when he feels like talking.

Well I haven't seen anything here so I'll say it
Congratulations to both Bill for transferring the car and responsibility to Ken (Poolboy)and to Ken for excepting that responsibility.

No pressure ,but you hurt that car your toast

Yep, it was me. Some of y'all know better than me what Bill did and went thru putting that great car together, I'm just getting started exploring his work. I did have a great drive back home, some 180 miles,,flying low at times.
In honor of Dr.Karam, I've named the beast..Bill.
I had just finished refreshing the engine, in situ, in my 74, ol'Basil, the day before I picked up Bill. New pistons, bearings and a reconditioned head. I had planned on doing that this Fall when the weather was more tolerable but I moved that up after the Doc and I started talking about this deal.
Anyway, nobody can replace Bill on this Forum and I really don't think we'll have to. Somebody's got to keep y'all straight around here.
So, Bill's got a place up here in Mississippi and I'm showing him around some of our country roads.
My wife, Cormae, has beem great about it all. Her first and only question so far was "does this one have a top ?"

When I joined this forum almost 6000 post ago ,Bill was one of the first person I looked to for answers. I think he was the first person I PM'ed.

Is that an affair?

Bill has been a source of good information for years and has helped many people. Maybe we should have an International Day of Mourning for him, or maybe an Afternoon of Contemplating Strange Issues would be better! We could let Bill choose the topic! :jester:

Now that I think of it . It might have been his misfortune.

No doubt about it, I'm very happy for you Poolboy, but I sure hope Bill sticks with cars, even if (heaven forbid), it ain't a TR! He's helped me a lot with his posts here, both on the technical side and on the humor side. Still can't get that picture out of my mind of him showing off his new flywheel, with those ugly feet in the background!

Randy

The one with the Christmas tree in it?
Now that's a Santa present
